At the same time, there is a growing demand for sustainable alternatives to conventional insulating packaging made from plastic and polystyrene, given the urgent need to reduce packaging waste.
Especially when life science and pharmaceutical products are sent to countries with insufficient waste management, the packaging often ends up in landfills or the environment. With our compostable insulating packaging, this is not a problem.

We have developed the Landbox Straw Pro specifically for the life science and pharmaceutical industries: Insulating packaging made of pure straw fibers, wrapped in sturdy paper. Our Pro model is ideal for long-distance shipping. The 70 mm thick insulating layer of compressed straw ensures that frozen goods remain below -15 °C for up to 120 hours, even under challenging external conditions.

Water-repellent, compostable, and longer-lasting
The water-resistant paper coating and additional inner cardboard increase stability and extend the possible shipping time by up to 20%.
At the same time, the entire material concept remains compostable and is therefore significantly more sustainable than traditional insulated packaging. The paper coating is also 100% natural and biodegradable.

Suitable for dry ice
The Landbox Straw Pro is suitable for direct contact with dry ice, which allows for additional flexibility and makes assembly easy and safe.
