Pharmapack 2026: Putting Sustainability in the Spotlight

With over 6.000 participants from across the globe, Pharmapack is one of the industry’s most vital meeting points for pharmaceuticals and packaging. From January 21st to 22nd, 2026, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at Europe’s largest trade fair for pharmaceutical packaging and Drug-Delivery-Innovations.

Sustainability was one of the central themes at this year’s Pharmapack in Paris. This was evident not only in our discussions with visitors but also throughout the event’s official program. Features such as the “Sustainability Theatre”, which hosted numerous presentations on eco-friendly packaging solutions, and the “Sustainability Centre”, offering extensive networking opportunities like the “Sustainability Breakfast” – emphasizing how significantly this topic is now shaping the industry.

The trade fair organizers also increased their focus on sustainability, implementing greener initiatives within the event’s organization and highlighting sustainable providers and innovations, such as the solutions offered by Landpack.

During the exhibition, we engaged in numerous conversations with companies from the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, ranging from agile startups to major international players. A recurring topic of discussion was the EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR). Many companies are now seriously exploring sustainable packaging solutions to ensure future compliance.

A particular highlight for us was the presentation by our Key Account Manager, Typhaine Gaudemer, which drew many interested visitors to our booth. We were able to demonstrate that a truly sustainable alternative to EPS (Styrofoam) exists for cold chain shipping.

In her presentation, Typhaine illustrated how our Landbox Straw, Landbox Pharma, and Landbox Dry Ice Pro are already proven replacements for standard Styrofoam boxes – all while maintaining a minimal carbon footprint. Our Landbox Dry Ice Pro even enables 120-hour frozen shipping, entirely without the use of plastics.

“At Pharmapack 2026, it was clear that sustainability is no longer a niche topic for the pharmaceutical industry, there is an urgent need to replace plastics. Many companies are now actively seeking alternatives to traditional materials like EPS – and this is exactly where innovative, bio-based packaging can play a crucial role,” says Typhaine Gaudemer.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and are already looking forward to the next Pharmapack!
