Last month, the international pharmaceutical industry gathered at Europe’s largest industry platform. More than 2,400 exhibitors from over 166 countries displayed their products and services there. We were also present for the first time with our sustainable packaging solutions.
Discussions with industry experts revealed a key trend: Sustainability is becoming a major success factor in pharmaceutical logistics.
While the European Healthcare Distribution Association (GIRP) is currently looking at possible future legal guidelines, one thing is becoming clear: The requirements for sustainable practices are increasing, especially in the area of packaging. Scope 3 emissions from logistics are increasingly becoming the focus of current ESG requirements.
The models of our Landbox were a real highlight: Not only do they stand out visually, but they also impressed with their excellent performance.
Our Landbox Straw Pro, which was specifically developed for the demanding requirements of the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, was the subject of many discussions. And for good reason: With its 70 mm insulation, it guarantees reliable temperature maintenance of up to 120 hours below -15 °C. The water-resistant paper wrapping also ensures durability and protection during transport.
In addition, our packaging solution is ISTA 7D pre-qualified, approved for direct contact with dry ice, and enables a 20% longer delivery time thanks to improved moisture resistance.
The numerous discussions at CPHI 2025 confirmed that these qualities precisely meet the current needs of the industry.
These developments reflect a clear trend which Typhaine Gaudemer, Sales and Key Account Manager at Landpack, summarizes accurately:
At CPHI, it was clear that environmental responsibility and innovation go hand in hand in pharmaceutical logistics. Sustainability is no longer a marginal issue—it is at the center of the discussion.
